Founded by professional cornhole players Mike Thompson and Sarah Chen, Cornio emerged from a shared frustration with inconsistent equipment that was holding back the sport's competitive growth.
After years of tournament play, they realized that the key to elevating cornhole lay in precision manufacturing and materials science. In 2024, they assembled a team of engineers and craftspeople in Cincinnati, Ohio – the heartland of American cornhole.
Cornhole's origins trace back to 14th century Germany, where craftsmen would demonstrate their skills by throwing grain bags through holes. The game made its way to Kentucky in the 19th century, where it evolved into the beloved pastime we know today.
From casual backyard games to ESPN-televised championships, cornhole has grown into a serious sport. Today's professional players compete for substantial prizes, making precision equipment more important than ever.

Cornio's innovative vision begins
All our games are built with sturdy legs for maximum strength and solid foundation. The cornhole board's legs are one of the most crucial points, often overlooked. As cornhole experts, we overlook NOTHING.
Since a cornhole set has a large surface area, mid-board reinforcement is crucial. Without proper reinforcement, the board will give and bags will "bounce" on the surface.
Pocket holes are among the strongest joints, concealing ALL screws from the surface or sides. Each board is assembled with 33 pocket holes, joined with precise accuracy.
